Limbus Company

Limbus Company is developed by Project Moon, the South Korean studio behind Lobotomy Corporation and Library of Ruina. It continues their bleak, surreal setting with a turn-based combat system and lengthy visual novel chapters.

Gameplay

Players command twelve Sinners, each based on classic literary figures, through dungeon-like 'Mirror' explorations. Combat uses clashing coin flips, where skills compare power values and Sanity affects the odds. Resonance and elemental 'Sin' affinities reward careful team building.

World and atmosphere

The City is a dystopian metropolis ruled by corporations. The writing explores trauma, identity and morality, and the soundtrack is widely praised.

Key mechanics

Free content and limitations

Story chapters are free. Characters' Identities and E.G.O. are obtained through gacha pulls, and a seasonal pass sells cosmetics and resources. The game is generally regarded as generous, but the gacha element is real.
