Destiny 2

Destiny 2 blends first-person shooting with RPG-style loot. Developed by Bungie, the studio behind early Halo games, it is known for weapon handling that feels precise and powerful.

Gameplay

Players create a Guardian from three classes, Titan, Hunter or Warlock, and choose subclasses tied to elements such as Solar, Void and Arc. Activities include story missions, three-player Strikes, competitive Crucible matches and demanding six-player raids.

World and atmosphere

Humanity's last city sits beneath the Traveller, a mysterious sphere that grants Guardians their Light. Destinations span Earth, the Moon, Europa and stranger realms, and the art direction mixes hard science fiction with space fantasy.

Free content and limitations

The free 'New Light' experience includes a selection of destinations, Strikes, Crucible and some seasonal activities. Major expansions and their campaigns, plus many raids and dungeons, are paid. Some older content has been removed from the game entirely over the years, which can confuse newcomers.
